JANUARY UPDATE FROM KURT GALLEY

We’re back!! It was great to be able to take time over the holidays to close the shop, rest and spend time with family. On Tuesday morning, the shop was buzzing with activity again! We’re working on two customer tiny houses on wheels that we plan to wrap up this month. We’ll begin work on our new 32’ main-floor bedroom model, the Aveon in Feb. This model is designed to provide ample living space while offering a good-sized main floor bedroom and two additional sleeping lofts! Stay tuned for pictures and more details in coming newsletters.

We are also full-steam ahead working on several Backyard Cottages, also known as Accessory Dwelling Units. This is an exciting growth area for us that we anticipate will become a more substantial part of our business as cities throughout Washington relax restrictions and allow homeowners to build additional living space on their property.

Casey Baker – Purchasing/Floor Manager

Casey joined Team Awesome in 2022 and made us better as a company from day one. He’s an out-of-the-box thinker which lead to him being the first recipient of our Innovation Award for a process improvement he created. He doubles (triples?) in the program as our purchasing manager, as well as a CAD drafter who creates production plans. Outside of work, Casey coaches soccer for his kids’ teams and has built-out his own adventure van which he continues to tinker with as time allows.
