As we wrap up 2022 and begin our planning for 2023, we want to thank the customers who entrusted us with the awesome responsibility of building their tiny house or backyard cottage this last year! We also want to thank our employees, vendors, and subcontractors for all your help and hard work! It takes a village to build tiny houses and we are grateful for an amazing community of support. Here are a few projects we’re really excited about that we’ll be launching in 2023.
We developed the Rio last year as a high-end tiny house on wheels that spares no expense. From the custom metal and cedar siding to the black framed Milgard windows to the Italian Custom Cabinetry, the Rio offers all the creature comforts one could ask for in an elegant, modern design.
The Rio starts around $150,000 and we have spoken with customers who love the layout, but are seeking a lower price point. So we developed the Yucatan tiny house on wheels, which is built on the Rio chassis, but outfitted with more cost-effective materials, fixtures and finishes. What it does not skimp on is quality. The Yucatan offers the same structural materials, insulation rating and many of the same amenities while keeping a sharp eye on the budget. These models retail for about 70% of the price of a Rio.
We are introducing The Illiad, a 16’ tiny house on wheels and The Odyssey, a 20’ tiny house on wheels. The models will retail for under $50,000 and $60,000 respectively, while providing a complete tiny home living experience with kitchen, bathroom, living and sleeping spaces. We are also planning to offer these models to municipalities who are considering tiny houses as a tool in addressing homelessness
We want to remind everyone that in addition to tiny houses on wheels, CHNW builds backyard cottages as well, designed to go on permanent foundations. We have placed DADUs in Tacoma, Seattle, Shoreline, Lynnwood and Everett ranging in size from 250 sq ft to 600 sq ft. We will once again be bringing several tiny houses on wheels to this year’s Seattle Home Show, including our flagship Pilchuck Park Model Tiny House, the new Yucatan Tiny House and a 16’ Illiad tiny house. We couldn’t be more excited to showcase our lineup of 2023 tiny houses on wheels and we hope that you will make a point to come see us when you’re at the home show.
